After stealing a wallet, a woman in Cobb County went on a shopping spree, buying items including an engagement ring worth almost $16,000, police say.
The suspect went into a home goods store off Barrett Parkway on Wednesday and took a wallet from purse that was in a cabinet near a cash register, according to Cobb County spokesman Dana Pierce.
The woman took a credit card from the purse and used it for $6,000 in goods at a store in Town Center Mall. She then went to a jewelry store and bought the engagement ring, Pierce said.
The suspect is described as roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall, 210 pounds and between the ages of 35-45.
Anyone with information about her is asked to call the Cobb County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit of Zone 1 at 770-590-5779.
