A man lost part of his leg during an industrial accident at IMS Georgia Steel in Atlanta, fire officials said Monday.

The man, whose name was not released, had part of his leg severed about 2 p.m. while at the steel business on Marietta Road, Atlanta fire spokesman Sgt. Cortez Stafford said.

The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, but Stafford did not know the man’s condition.
