State agency receives national recognition for helping foster care youth

Georgia’s Multi-Agency Alliance for Children/EmpowerMEnt was named one of the fifteen national initiatives making a critical difference in the lives of youth in foster care.

The designation, from the Center for the Study of Social Policy, came last week and highlighted the organization’s work in the child welfare system to promote healthy development and well-being. The MAAC network supports youth having a voice in their foster care decisions, living independently and advocating for improving the system.
