The youth services librarian at the Salem-Panola branch of the DeKalb County Library System recently won a national program that encourages teen interns at local libraries.
Candace Ushery’s award of $1,000 from the Young Adult Library Services Association will pay for two-month internships for up to four teens this summer at the Salem-Panola branch near Lithonia. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation funds the award.
