Snellville Mayor Tom Witts met with a group of Gwinnett County’s movers and shakers Tuesday to discuss the city’s future development and to ask for their help moving forward.
The newly elected mayor explained to members of the Gwinnett County Advisory Committee, part of the Council for Quality Growth, that several development opportunities in the city are now feasible thanks to a “united” mayor and council.
Witts discussed development opportunities on Wisteria Drive across from the police station, in the Livable Centers Initiative corridor on Wisteria Drive, Clower Street and Oak Road and other locations on Highways 78 and 124.
Witts also spoke about the new construction project on the Towne Green, which will improve the existing green and create Veterans Memorial Park.
The Wisteria City Market, a one-day pop-up market, was also touted as a success and an example of viable economic growth in the city.
