Snellville's Citizens Police Academy takes applications

Want to know what it's like to be a police officer? Here's your chance.

Snellville is taking applications for its 11th session of the Citizens Police Academy, which begins March 10. The application deadline is March 4.

The 10-week program includes classroom and hands-on instruction in topics such as traffic law, DUI investigation and weapons training.

The academy is free and open to Snellville residents and business owners who are 18 years old or older. For more information, contact Officer Trey Downs at tdowns@snellville.org.
