Following a second public hearing, the Snellville City Council recently approved a conditional use permit to allow Kroger to add a 14-station fueling center at the Presidential Commons Shopping Center, 1630 Scenic Highway.

The approval requires all fuel tanker trucks only use the Scenic Highway access point to the shopping center and strictly prohibits using the access drive adjacent to the Park Place development. Kroger must also assist the city in obtaining right of way from Gwinnett County for a turn lane at Ridgedale Drive and North Road which will assist in easing traffic congestion to the site. Snellville will not issue an occupancy permit without this turn lane.
