The Smyrna Police Department will host a free children’s Halloween costume parade on Oct. 24, at Smyrna First Baptist Church, 1275 Church Street.
The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m., travel north on King Street and end in the memorial field where the costume contest will be held. The best costume will be awarded in the following age groups: newborn – 2-years-old, 3 – 6-years-old and 7 – 12-years-old.
WSB-TN reporter Ross Cavit will be one of four celebrity judges. Parade attendees will also be treated to an appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog.
Those interested in participating in the parade should register at 9:00 a.m.
