Construction work hours were extended by the Smyrna City Council for the new Brookside Lake Manor subdivision at 1265 Veterans Memorial Highway near Oakdale Road.
Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and no work on Sundays until the project is completed around January by J & A Construction & Homebuilders of Cartersville.
However, the company will lessen noise disturbance from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays.
The estimated construction cost is a little more than $1.1 million for the project on 17.77 acres.
J & A Construction requested this extension because the company ran into permitting delays due to the state’s variance process for wetland encroachment.
