The Smyrna City Council is expected to consider two land-use requests at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at City Hall Council Chambers, 2800 King St.

Halpern Enterprises is requesting changes to its site plan and exterior designs on nearly 13 acres on the northeast corner of Spring Road at Atlanta Road.

Joseph Kusky is seeking rezoning from limited commercial to residential to build a single-family house on about one-third acre at 2645 Hickory Hill Drive in the Hickory Hill subdivision — with no land use change from moderate density residential.

On Sept. 21, the council is expected to consider a rezoning request by Venture Homes to develop 15 single-family houses on 5.6 acres at 3744 Plumcrest Road.

Venture Homes requested the delay to hold a community meeting before the public hearing.
