Registration will continue until 5 p.m. Feb. 26 for the Smyrna Citizens Academy.

The second annual academy gives Smyrna residents the opportunity to receive a behind-the-scenes look into city operations and learn about all departments from city staff.

To be considered for participation, an applicant must be over the age of 18.

While open to the general public, priority is given to those who live or work within the city limits of Smyrna.

Ability to attend all sessions also is considered a priority.

The academy is limited to 25 participants.

Sessions will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning March 12 and concluding May 7 with a graduation ceremony on May 20.
