Johnnetta B. Cole, director of the National Museum of African Art at the Smithsonian Institution, will be on hand Sunday for the unveiling of Clark Atlanta University Art Galleries’ new catalogue, “In the Eye of the Muses: Selections from the Clark Atlanta University Art Collection,” at 2 p.m. in Davage Auditorium in Haven-Warren Hall, 223 James P. Brawley Dr.

Cole, the former president Spelman College, has been at the Smithsonian since 2009. She will lecture on “Great Art Collections At Our Historically Black Colleges And Universities: To Whom Do They Belong?”

The catalogue marks the 70th anniversary of CAU’s permanent collection and the 60th anniversary of the unveiling of the school's "The Art of the Negro" mural series.
