Police hope a composite sketch released Sunday helps identify one of three suspects accused in two rapes in south Fulton County.

"We have three predators who went out there and picked up an innocent woman in a nice area, took her to a vacant home and raped," Sgt. Scott McBride with Fulton County police told Channel 2 Action News.

Investigators believe the same three suspects are responsible for two separate, but similar assaults that happened Friday morning at a vacant home on Old National Highway, McBridge said. The women were picked up about 10 miles apart on the same road, but police believe they were both brought to the same home within a few hours of each other.

One of the suspects, believed to be between 17 and 19 years old, is described as being about 5-feet-8 inches tall with a medium build, according to Sgt. Scott McBride with Fulton County police. The suspect had a round face, wore his hair in small twists and had a musty odor, police said.

"We feel very strongly that this is a good sketch," McBride told the AJC.

McBride said officers have worked nonstop over the weekend on the case. He said it is unknown whether sketches of the other suspects will be released.

"This is horrendous. This is something we don't see every day," McBride told Channel 2. "Rapes are always a violent crime. This is completely off the scale."

Anyone with any information regarding the man in the sketch is asked to call the Fulton County police at 404-730-7911.
