Authorities released a sketch Friday of a man dubbed the ‘Buckhead Bandit,’ who is wanted for multiple area robberies.

The suspect is accused in at least 10 robberies of businesses, including drugstores and a Subway. He has targeted Buckhead, but is believed to have hit two businesses in the Brookhaven area as well.

On New Year’s Day, the suspect entered a CVS on Peachtree Street and robbed the store with a handgun, according to police reports. The suspect told the cashier, “Come on don’t you know this is a robbery, give me all that.”

Investigators posted a video on YouTube they hope will help identify the suspect.

Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact Atlanta police commercial robbery investigators at 404-546-4255 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Six soldiers were honored, each receiving Meritorious Service Medals, Thursday for heroic actions responding to the shooting at Fort Stewart. “One of the things I can say unequivocally is that the fast action of these soldiers — under stress and under trauma and under fire — absolutely saved lives from being lost,” U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll told reporters as the six soldiers stood near him Thursday. “They are everything that is good about this nation.” (Hyosub Shin/AJC)
