Six Flags new tax public hearing on Tuesday

Cobb County commissioners will hold public hearings at 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. Nov. 11 on a proposed resolution to create the Six Flags Area Special Services District that would include a new tax.

These hearings will be held in the second floor Commissioner’s Meeting Room, Cobb County Building, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta.

The new ad valorem tax would be 3.5 mils on real property within the Six Flags district to fund services within the district and construction and maintenance of facilities.
