Construction activity taking place as part of the I-85 Widening project will require lane closures this week through Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
Asphalt paving will result in single-lane closures through Friday, Nov. 22, along I-85 southbound from Ga. 53 to Jesse Cronic Road in Jackson.
Beginning Wednesday night, Nov.20, through Friday night, sign installations will require double-lane closures along I-85 southbound from Spout Springs Road to Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett and single-lane closures from Jesse Cronic Road to Ga. 53 in Jackson county. In addition, traffic pacing will occur southbound from Ga. 211 to Hamilton Mill Road and northbound from Ga. 211 to Ga. 53.
Work will take place 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday night.
