A new administrative suite at Cobb's Shallowford Falls Elementary was named in honor of former principal, Cheryl Hunt Clements. An oil portrait by Jean Scanlin Wright, a former parent at Shallowford Falls, will hang in the front lobby. Clements was the first principal at Shallowford Falls in 1990, and led the school for 14 years. Under her leadership, the school received several state and national awards, including a U.S. Department of Education 2001 Blue Ribbon National School of Excellence honor.
