The United Peachtree Corners Civic Association will conduct a public meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, 4480 Peachtree Corners Circle to discuss a proposal to build a seven-story hotel and apartment building at 5246 Peachtree Parkway.
The proposed development on 4.4 acres across from The Forum shopping center, adjacent to the city’s Town Center and behind Walnut Cafe and Chase Bank, has been submitted to Peachtree Corners for rezoning approval. Plans include a seven-story, 169-unit rental apartment building; seven-story, 110-room boutique hotel; and 529 parking spaces. The property lies within the Simpson Elementary School district and could impact future student enrollment.
The application requests a stream buffer variance along with a rezoning from commercial to mixed-use development in order to include apartments in the project. Rental apartments are not currently a permitted use on this property and the mixed-use development zoning regulations allow building heights of up to 25 stories.
If approved, this project would be among the tallest, most dense developments in Peachtree Corners. The Peachtree Corners Planning Commission is scheduled to consider this rezoning proposal at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at City Hall, 147 Technology Parkway. All city meetings are open to the public.
