Serial flasher on the loose?

A man who exposed himself outside a Woodstock movie theater Sunday afternoon apparently has struck before.

The unidentified man emerged, completely naked, from behind some shrubs near the Cherokee 16 Cinemas on Sunday afternoon and fondled himself in front of two girls, ages 14 and 12. They described him as a white male, roughly 18-20 years old with a buzz cut, Woodstock Police Sgt. Paul Brown said.

A mother of two told the AJC  a man matching that description exposed himself to two girls inside a Cobb movie theater eight days ago.

"It's been on my mind every day since, " said Carolyn Phillips, 40, who was in the Parkway Point 15 theater last Sunday morning with her 8-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son to see "The Tooth Fairy," starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. She noticed a man dressed in all black with a large duffel bag, sitting alone.

"He was the only adult there by himself," Phillips said. Midway through the movie, Phillips said the man changed seats and sat next to two young teen girls.

"All of a sudden he pulled down his pants and started masturbating," she said. A few parents chased the man out of the theater into the lobby, but he evaded capture, disappearing into the parking lot. "He was very, very fast. He looked very athletic to me," said Phillips, who was interviewed by Woodstock Police on Monday afternoon.

Cobb County Police said they haven't received a report on the Parkway Pointe flasher. An employee of the theater, reached by phone Monday night, confirmed the incident but would not comment further.
