The Sequoyah Library System serving Cherokee, Gilmer and Pickens counties announced materials are available for borrowing, by being reserved online or by phone and picking them up by appointment.
"Once your hold is available, a staff member will call and let you know," according to an announcement of the library's "Sidewalk Service." "An appointment will be set up for you to pick up your items. If you miss our call, please call your home location with your library card number to set up a new appointment."
Items to be checked out will be placed on a table outside the library doors, arranged by the first four letters of one’s last name and the last four numbers of one’s library card. “Since the items are already checked out to you, you can just grab your items and go,” the library said.
Materials can be returned any time to the book drops. Once returned, books will be held in quarantine for three days so they may not show up immediately as being checked in; overdue fines will not accrue during this time. Information: https://bit.ly/2XwB1rJ
