Search resumes for Hall County boater missing in Lanier

Dive teams returned to Lake Lanier Thursday to resume searching for a Hoschton man reported missing from a marina on Wednesday.

Hall County sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Bailes said Dan McGrath, 58, was last seen working on his boat at Sunrise Marina Wednesday afternoon.

“Divers are utilizing special equipment to search the bottom of the lake,” Bailes said in an email late Thursday morning. “Our main focus will be to utilize this equipment to search around the docks today.”
