The DeKalb County School District is holding meetings around the county to explain its “flexibility” options and gather public opinion.

Like other Georgia districts, DeKalb must decide whether to adopt a new organizational structure that pushes more authority to schools, or face loss of waivers from state mandates such as maximum class sizes.

All meetings start at 6:30 p.m. The dates and locations are: Jan. 16, Towers High School, 3919 Brookcrest Circle, Decatur; Jan. 22, Lithonia High, 2440 Phillips Road, Lithonia; Jan. 23, Lakeside High, 3801 Briarcliff Road NE, Atlanta; Jan. 28, Stephenson High, 701 Stephenson Road, Stone Mountain, and Jan. 29, Dunwoody High, 5035 Vermack Road, Dunwoody.
