The main building at the Savannah College of Art and Design's Atlanta campus was reopened at 11 a.m. Monday morning, almost 2 1/2 hours after police evacuated the building because of an anonymous bomb threat.

SCAD spokeswoman Jennifer Binns said the Atlanta Police Department's "bomb squad has completed a thorough search of the exterior and interior of the building at 1600 Peachtree Street NW. They did not find anything suspicious. There was not a suspicious package involved in this incident."

Classes resumed at 11 a.m.

Classes missed as a result of the situation will be rescheduled.
