Sandy Springs and the nonprofit organization Art Sandy Springs (ArtSS) have announced City Springs Indoor Art, with the works of featured artists appearing at City Hall.

Paintings by Gary Bodner, the first artist in the series, went on display in December. Exhibits will rotate quarterly to showcase different works, as the city works with ArtSS to develop program criteria for future installations, officials said.

“There is no question that art enhances a community, not only aesthetically, but enhancing the quality of life, encouraging creativity and drawing in visitors,” said Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul. “We are excited and committed to incorporating and enhancing our artistic footprint throughout the city.”

A physician in obstetrics and gynecology with deep roots in the area, Bodner practiced medicine for 37 years before retiring and devoting himself to painting full time. For examples of his work: https://anneirwinfineart.com/artist/gary-bodner
