A plan to pave Dunwoody Place is costing several hundred thousand dollars more than expected, prompting Sandy Springs to move some money around to get the work done.
The city is about $340,000 short on the $1.1 million project because the city had to reconstruct major sections of the road, not just pave the roadway.
The city expects to save much of that additional money in other paving programs this year. It will then make up that shortfall with those programs and other savings.
Work on Dunwoody Place could begin by year’s end.
