Sandy Springs and Dunwoody have announced a joint public information open house on proposed intersection improvements at Dunwoody Club Drive and Jett Ferry Road, on the boundary of the two communities.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at Dunwoody Community Church, 2250 Dunwoody Club Drive, Sandy Springs. Tentative plans for the intersection call for a traffic signal or roundabout with dedicated turn lanes, according to a Sandy Springs website.

Residents will have an opportunity review and comment on concept plans intended to improve traffic efficiency and safety, officials said. No formal presentation is planned, but representatives of the cities will be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions.

The project is in the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program approved by voters in Sandy Springs and Fulton County as part of the November 2016 TSPLOST referendum.
