Sandy Springs council member Chip Collins will mark the re-opening of Riverside Drive Tuesday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The event is scheduled to take place at 8:30 a.m. near the Riverside bridge. Collins represents District 3 on the city council and resides in the Riverside neighborhood.

Riverside was closed from Nov. 1 through Monday for a stormwater project. During that time, traffic was diverted to Johnson Ferry Road and River Valley Road.

City officials said Riverside Drive will be completed and ready for traffic Tuesday morning.
