Sandy Springs police Thursday were looking for a suspect in a mid-morning bank robbery.

The robbery happened at the SunTrust branch in the 900 block of Johnson Ferry Road, Sandy Springs police Lt. Keith Zgonc said.

Zgonc said a man entered the bank about 9:30 a.m., demanded cash from a teller, then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect, who did not display a weapon, was described as white, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a white baseball cap and a dark v-neck sweater or sweatshirt. Zgonc said the man possibly got into an older-model, copper-colored Chevrolet sport utility vehicle.
