Sanders Elementary set for new paint, playground

The Cobb school board last week approved Reliant Construction of Alpharetta to perform renovations at Sanders Elementary in Austell. The $568,000 approved contract was 39 percent below original budgeted estimates, according to district officials. The work is expected to be completed by July 18. Renovations include interior and exterior painting, floor covering replacement and replacement of playground equipment.
