Woodstock Street in Roswell, at the north end of the historic downtown area, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday so Georgia Power can install a utility pole and a transformer for a new subdivision, city officials said.
Woodstock will be closed between Alpharetta Street (Ga. 9) and Minhinette Drive.
The detour from the north for traffic attempting to access Woodstock Street will follow Strickland Road to Prospect Street and Minhinette back to Woodstock. Traffic from the south will be directed to use Green Street to Woodstock.
Programmable message boards will be placed at Ga. 9 and Woodstock to advise of the street closing and detours.
