Anticipating excess trash generated over the holidays, Roswell has announced it will collect additional household garbage from residents beginning the week of Thanksgiving.
The city’s Environmental/Public Works Department will collect up to five bags of garbage per household from Monday, Nov. 25, through Friday, Jan. 10.
“All household garbage must be bagged and tightly secured with a tie wrap, rubber band, etc.,” the city said. “The extra bags should be placed next to the household garbage container on the normal scheduled day of collection.”
Also, collection dates will change because of the holidays. To view those dates: https://bit.ly/2Qydvcf
Residents also may bring extra bags of refuse to the Roswell Transfer Station, 1810 Hembree Road, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (the station will be closed Nov. 28-29, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1). No fee will be charged, but proof of Roswell residency will be required.
