After heading back to the drawing board, the Roswell City Council will vote later this month on a new logo.

In December, the city council approved a logo reflecting results of a city branding study. It featured the city’s name and the slogan, “Modern Spirit, Southern Soul.” In January, new members who joined the council asked to revisit the logo design.

At a special work session this week, council members saw two designs for a new logo. They selected one featuring the name of the city, along with a waterwheel, representing Roswell King’s 19th-century (cq) mill which led to the founding of the city.

Council members will vote on the redesign at their May 23 meeting.
