The Roswell City Council has awarded a $230,000 contract to an engineering consulting firm to develop its 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
Pond & Co. was recommended by an evaluation committee as the highest-ranked firm of four that responded to the city’s request for proposals, according to a staff report to the council.
The committee cited Pond’s dedicated project manager and team assigned to Roswell, local office in Atlanta, plan for comprehensive community engagement, prior performance developing comprehensive plans for Johns Creek, Woodstock, Gwinnett County, Peachtree Corners and Milton, and prior work for Roswell.
Roswell's most recent comprehensive plan, for 2035, also was drafted by Pond and was adopted in October, 2016. It provides "long-range policy direction for land use, transportation, economic development, housing, public facilities, inter-governmental agreements and natural/cultural resources," according to a city website.
