The Roswell City Council has approved a $239,567 contract modification to finalize the construction plans and specifications for the long-awaited realignment of Oxbo Road at Atlanta Street (Ga. 9).

Engineering consultant Clark Patterson Lee has been delayed since 2014 because of right-of-way and funding issues, staff said in a report to the council.

The consultant can move forward, keeping the project on schedule, now that several key right-of-way issues have been resolved and the project has funding through the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax approved by voters in November 2016, staff said.

Roswell has $145,933 in the Oxbo realignment project fund, with the remaining money needed for the contract modification to be funded by the TSPLOST.
