Roswell will host what organizers say is the first-ever Veterans Business Expo of Georgia, bringing together veteran-owned businesses and entrepreneurs and corporate purchasing professionals for “a reverse trade show and matchmaking event.”
“This innovative trade show model is unique within the industry and will serve the needs of veteran business professionals as well as the local, regional and national companies looking to work with and hire veteran-owned businesses,” according to a city announcement.
The one-day event is set for Tuesday, April 30, at the Roswell Country Club, 2500 Club Springs Drive, Roswell. Attendee sign-in and breakfast will be 8 to 9 a.m., with opening remarks at 9 a.m. and the exhibit hall open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is presented by Roswell Inc, the economic development agency for the city, and the National Veteran Supplier Diversity Coalition. Corporate sponsors include Lockheed Martin and SAS Software.
IThe exhibit hall will be “specifically tailored for small-to-medium veteran-owned businesses to share their products and services with large corporations looking to network and grow their supplier diversity program,” the announcement said.
