The Roswell City Council has approved paying $215,000 to buy the last privately owned tract on the east side of East Roswell Park – a house and its 1.5-acre site.
The residence at 9005 Fouts Road, surrounded on three sides by the park and on the fourth by the street, is being purchased from the estate of Sylvia Viola (Nalley) Fouts, who died Feb. 16 at the age of 88.
The property was the last parcel on that side of the street that Roswell did not own, a city spokeswoman said. The city has not yet decided what it will do with the site.
