Dozens of children’s toys recently appeared on the porch of historic Barrington Hall in Roswell – an anonymous donation that kicked off the annual Barrington Hall Toys for Tots holiday gift campaign for needy families.
“We hope the person or persons who donated this huge collection of toys understand how grateful we are and how much their generosity means to those less fortunate this holiday season,” said Bill Browning, an employee of Barrington Hall and the city of Roswell.
Toys can be dropped off through Dec. 31 at the gift shop at Barrington Hall, 535 Barrington Drive. The home is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Barrington Hall is decorated with antique and vintage toys and traditional holiday decorations and is open for tours; ticket prices are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $6 for children, or $15 for all three historic homes in Roswell's Homes for the Holidays event Sunday, Dec. 8.
