Roswell has announced “Music on the Hill,” a series of free outdoor concerts on the grounds of City Hall, 38 Hill St., beginning in September and October.

The first performance, “To Natalie, With Love,” a tribute to Natalie Cole by Toni Byrd and her Big Band, is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14. The concerts, on the second Friday of the month, next year will run from April through October, officials said.

The series is hosted by the city of Roswell and sponsored by Carl Black Buick-GMC. Musical production will be provided by Atlanta Plays It Forward. Attendees may bring their own food and drinks; beer and wine will be available for purchase on-site. Parking is free, and the city provides a free trolley service.

“Bring your friends and family, spread a blanket out on the lawn, unpack a picnic, uncork a bottle, and unwind from your busy week while enjoying some of the best live music in the Atlanta metro area,” said Christine Ward, Roswell special events manager.
