A family visiting the Atlanta area from Florida is searching for a service dog that escaped their car during a traffic accident, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The family has been searching for the dog, a 7-year-old Pomeranian named Lilly, since Wednesday and is now pleading for the public's help. The family is offering a $2,500 reward.

"I don't think of her as a dog. I just think of her as my other baby," the dog's owner, Roxanna Guinan told Channel 2 Action News. "She helps me with my depression and other issues I'm dealing with."

Lilly went missing when Guinan's daughter flipped the family car with Lilly inside, along I-285 near 675 in DeKalb County. "The dog panicked and ran out of the vehicle," Guinan told Channel 2. She said the dog darted away shortly after the accident and hasn't been seen since. "Shes scared to death out there somewhere. She's hungry, she's afraid and she needs me," Guinan said.

Guinan told Channel 2 she came to Georgia from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., to pick up her daughter and bring her back home, never expecting to lose her dog. "I can only imagine shes out there looking for me as hard as im looking for her," Guinan said. "I'm not going to leave until I find her. I have to find her."

Anyone with information on the missing service dog is asked to call 561-632-0560. The family is offering a $2,500 reward.
