A $5,000 reward is being offered for the capture of a woman who robbed two metro Atlanta banks and attempted a third heist.
Wells Fargo Bank put up the money to encourage the public’s help in finding the woman involved in the incidents at three of its branches in the last week, FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said.
On Oct. 26, she handed a note to a teller at the Roswell branch at 10825 Alpharetta Highway just before 12:30 p.m., before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.
Tuesday around 11 a.m., the woman went into the branch at 1490 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, but failed to get any cash when she attempted a robbery, Emmett said.
The woman turned up later Tuesday afternoon at the Wells Fargo branch at 4640 Jonesboro Road in Union City and announced the robbery to a teller, again leaving on foot with an unspecified amount of cash.
Authorities say the woman is about 30 years old, stands 5-feet-2- to 5-feet-5 inches, weighs 110 to 120 pounds, and was wearing a black wig with purple tint, a grayish dress hat and large-framed sunglasses.
The reward is offered to anyone with information leading to the woman’s arrest.
