Resurfacing of Highway 316 from Herrington Road to Highway 120 in Lawrenceville continues with crews working weeknights and weekends to complete the work as quickly as possible.
GDOT will close one lane of Highway 316 East on Friday night. Work will be finished by 5 a.m. Friday morning. Saturday morning one lane of Highway 316 West will close. Saturday evening a second lane of Highway 316 East will close. Sunday morning a second lane of Highway 316 West will close. Weekend work begins as 9 p.m. Friday and ends 5 a.m. Monday. The biggest delays will occur Saturday and Sunday as two of three lanes on Highway 316 are closed.
This 3.76-mile project was awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting of Marietta for $5 million. The project completion date is May 31.
