Buford High School's principal will leave his job on June 30, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.

Buford City Schools did not respond to a request for comment from the AJC.

Principal Banks Bitterman will finish the school year in Buford before leaving the education world for an unspecified job in the private sector, the Post reported.

Bitterman has been at Buford High School since 2008, after serving as the principal of the Gwinnett School of Math, Science and Technology for one year. Bitterman has been an educator and coach for nearly 20 years.
