Dunwoody City Council approved a plan for relocation of the dog park within Brook Run Park.
The design is described as a good compromise between the city, neighbors and Brook Run Dog Park Association.
There will be a two-acre large dog park and a quarter-acre park for smaller dogs. Both areas will be located 400 feet from Village Oaks subdivision.
City staff will utilize existing contractors for the work and reuse fencing and benches to reduce costs. Council members allocated $195,000 in the fiscal year 2013 budget for the dog park relocation.
