The State Board of Regents will hold a teleconference Monday afternoon to select the next president of the University of Georgia.
Earlier this week the regents announced UGA Provost Jere Morehead is the sole finalist for the position. Morehead, 56, started teaching at the institution in 1986 and has since moved up the administrative ranks.
President Michael Adams will step down June 30 after leading the state’s flagship university for 16 years.
The regents spent about $207,000 on a national search that began over the summer.
