Rapper 2 Chainz helped surprise a disabled veteran and her son.

The Atlanta native and his charity "Tru Foundation" presented the woman with a check to pay her rent for a year.

He also gave the family brand new furniture for their South Fulton County home.

“She's got a 13-year-old, well he just turned 14 so it's like his birthday and they didn't have any furniture. So a teenager needs a bedroom so I got him a bedroom suite,” 2 Chainz said.

The boy’s mother said she was thrilled.

“I was just expecting to come and get him and take him out to eat for his birthday,” the boy’s mother Dierdre Plater said. “I'm just overwhelmed and overjoyed at this point."

Plater said her her son is a big fan of 2 Chainz and they could not be happier about getting this early Christmas gift.
