Rabid cat found in Loganville

Gwinnett County issued a rabies alert Wednesday after a cat found in Loganville tested positive for the disease.

The cat was found on Lake Carlton Road on April 26. The county asks anyone who handled the cat or who has been bitten or scratched by any stray animal to contact the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement Office at 770-339-3200, Ext. 5576.
