Power outage disrupts east-west MARTA line

A power outage disrupted service on MARTA’s east-west rail line late Thursday morning.

“We had the power down briefly, but it’s back up and running and service has returned,” MARTA spokeswoman Cara Hodgson said just before 11 a.m.

Hodgson didn’t know the extent or cause of the outage or exactly when it began.

At one point, passengers were forced off westbound trains at the MARTA rail station.
