Powella appointed to Lilburn Merit Board

The Lilburn City Council recently voted to approve the appointment of Merit Board Employee Representative Emil Powella. The 6-member Merit Board is tasked with representing the interest of the public in the improvement of personnel administration and the selection of qualified staff and personnel for the city.

Powella was the only nominee submitted to fill the unexpired term of Carmen Stewart, who resigned from the board. He will serve on the Merit Board for the remainder of 2019.

Powella is a retired Amoco/BP Oil Company marketing manager who took up photography in early 2018. He regular takes photos for the city.
