The Powder Springs City Council voted Monday to allow an extra day off if city employees pass an annual physical fitness test.

The city’s law enforcement fitness specialist will develop the test that will be appropriate for the age and position of the employees. This test is required for all law enforcement personnel but voluntary for the rest of the city employees.

Those passing the test will receive one personal day of leave for that year.
