Deep cleaning will take place at the city facilities of Powder Springs.

The Powder Springs City Council voted 5-0 on May 4 to hire Bonus Building Care for $15,097.

Since the city is preparing for the gradual re-opening of its facilities, city officials will provide deep cleaning and disinfecting services in each city facility.

They also will install physical barriers or reconfigure office space to achieve as much separation or space as possible for employees, according to the city resolution.

In other business, the City Council agreed to buy a McNeilus sanitation truck for $253,328.
